Boomers standout Dante Exum has been linked with a move to Barcelona as he looks to reignite his basketball career.
Despite an impressive Olympics campaign with Australia, Exum was waived by the Houston Rockets during training camp and has yet to be picked up by another NBA franchise.
Now, media outlets in Spain are reporting the 25-year-old is heading to Europe.

Despite a return to Australia’s NBL – where Exum owns a stake in the Phoenix – being speculated recently, it appears that the point guard will test himself overseas.

The move would be a brilliant opportunity for Exum to revive his career, which has stuttered somewhat since he was taken near the top of his rookie class as a teenager.
Exum was taken with the fifth draft pick in 2014 by the Utah Jazz, and spent nearly six seasons there before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in late 2019.
He went into the NBA season without a team before putting himself in the shop window during the Olympics.
Exum averaged nine points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists as the Aussies claimed an historic bronze medal.
His national team coach Brian Goorjian was “rocked” when he heard the news that Houston had waived his young star.
“I’m just hoping that somebody else comes and knocks on his door,” he said in October.
“He’s an NBA player. There’s no doubt in my mind you’re getting a good get.”
