Jake Paul has quickly backtracked after his latest claims about boxing icon Mike Tyson went viral on social media.
The 28-year-old, who defeated Tyson via unanimous decision last November, appeared on a live stream over the weekend when the topic of psychedelic drugs came up.
Paul then sent alarm bells through the boxing community with an off-the-cuff remark about the former heavyweight world champion’s health.

“Ayahuasca is really good for your brain as well and same with toad,” Paul said.
“Toad cured Tyson’s Parkinson’s [disease] so that he could come back and fight.”
After the clip started to surface online and lead to concerns, Paul would swiftly rectify the issue, simply saying he “misspoke” about Tyson’s condition.
“Mike Tyson didn’t have no Parkinson’s,” he said via X.
“WTF. Why the f–k is the internet so stupid for. I misspoke. Meant he used toad to heal his pain. He has spoken about it many times. Just like I do. Just like many do.”

The months that have followed the bout have been filled with controversy, with plenty of the criticism surrounding Tyson’s health and ability to compete at 58 years of age.
However, his camp have vehemently denied the suggestions from Paul.
“Mike is happy and perfectly healthy,” a statement provided to TMZ said.
“He doesn’t have Parkinson’s or any other illness.”
Tyson isn’t expected to compete in a professional fight again, while Paul has been linked with a shock showdown against multi-time world champ Canelo Alvarez.
