The younger brother of Australian star Tim Tszyu is set to follow in his family’s footsteps after signing a deal to become a professional boxer.
Nikita, 23, was a talented amateur boxing before walking away from the sport six years ago to pursue a degree in architecture.
The two brothers are the sons of boxing legend Kostya Tszyu. It’s understood Nikita is eyeing his professional debut in February next year.
The news was made official today, with several of Australia’s leading boxing voices taking to social media to reveal the announcement.

“I want to achieve that greatness,” he told Newscorp.
“Now I have my head clear and I know exactly what I want, I want to achieve that greatness.
“I want to achieve the level that I feel I can achieve, and that all comes with sacrifice.”
Nikita’s signing news comes just days after his older brother increased his unbeaten professional to 20-0 (15KO).
Tszyu against Japan’s Takeshi Inoue retained his WBO Global and WBO Asia-Pacific super-welterweight titles and won convincingly on points, with the judges scoring it 119-108, 120-107 and 120-107.
