Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs have won the longest ever Super Bowl defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.
A clutch Patrick Mahomes pass to Mecole Hardman Jr sealed the deal in the final seconds of overtime, handing the star quarterback his third Super Bowl MVP.
“Mahomes magic cements his own legacy,” the ESPN commentator said.

During the post-game presentation, Mahomes urged fans to always back the Chiefs.
“The whole game was our whole entire season, the defence keeping us in there and the offence making plays when it counted,” he said.
“Just know, the Kansas City Chiefs are never underdogs.”
Hardman echoed the same sentiments in his post-game interview.
“That means so much … I’m just happy we got it,” the receiver said.
“Y’all should learn by now – when we go down by 10, we become a different animal. The defence did a hell of a job and we just had to finish it.

“They counted us out. Everybody thought we were done. Look now – back-to-back champs, don’t ever count us out.”
While Mahomes was the brightest shining star on the field, Travis Kelce stole the show on the dais, picking up the microphone to belt out two songs as he clutched the trophy.
After barely touching the ball in the first half, the tight end who is one of the best players in the NFL but whose star has exploded in recent months due to his relationship with Taylor Swift played a crucial role in the Chiefs’ comeback, with several big contributions in his team’s pointscoring drives.
Earlier though, he was the talk of the Super Bowl for all the wrong reasons after man-handling his coach Andy Reid when he was taken out of the game for a crucial play.
After a scoreless first quarter, the 49ers broke the deadlock early in the second with a field goal.
A sensation touchdown mid-way through the quarter extended the Niners lead to 10.
After enduring a slow start, the Chiefs finally got on the board with a field goal of their own just before half time.
The Niners were slow to get back into the match following half time, which allowed the Chiefs to close the gap to four points with another field goal.

Taylor Swift and the rest of the fans in red went ballistic when the Chiefs finally scored their first touchdown of the match, the extra point giving them a 13-10 lead.
They carried it to three-quarter time, but a 10-yard Brock Purdy pass to Jauan Jennings in the end zone put the Niners back in front.
The extra point was blocked though – the Niners lead only 16-13.
With under six minutes to go, a field goal levelled the scores 16-all, and the game looked to be heading to overtime when scores remained level with two minutes to go.
Rookie Jake Moody put the Niners back in front with a massive 52-yard field goal to put his team in front 19-16.
The Chiefs had the ball inside the last 20 seconds, but had some 70 yards to run. Travis Kelce ran down to the 20-yard line, before a field goal sent the match to overtime.
Kansas City’s win marks the first time in almost two decades that an NFL franchise have won back-to-back Super Bowl titles.
