Perth Scorchers skipper Sophie Devine needed just 58 deliveries today to bring up her third WBBL century.
Devine hit six sixes and eight fours at a strike rate of 168.33 to lead the Scorchers to a giant first innings total of 186 against the Sydney Thunder.
The 32-year-old, who is also the White Ferns cricket captain, finished with 101 runs after she was finally dismissed by Thunder captain Hannah Darlington on the 60th delivery faced.

Devine’s big day out was also part of a 173-run opening stand with Beth Mooney (65 off 54 balls), which made history by becoming the second-highest partnership in WBBL history.
The partnership was second only to Alyssa Healy and Ellyse Perry’s unbeaten opening stand of 199 against the Melbourne Stars in 2019.
Former Australian cricket star Mel Jones lauded Devine, who recently returned to the sport following time away due to mental health.
Devine missed most of the White Ferns’ ODI series against Australia in April when she opted to return home.
“There’s not too many better sights in cricket is there when Sophie Devine is in this kind of mood,” Jones told Fox Cricket.
“We’ve got to remind ourselves, she took time off to manage her mental health at the start of the year… she’s done that.
“That’s a brave call as the captain of the country and heading into a World Cup year.
“To go away, get everything right and come back out and lead the Scorchers – this is crisp, crisp hitting.”
