The Brumbies have replaced outgoing winger Solomone Kata with former Waratahs flyer Cam Clark for the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific season.
The Canberra club allowed former NRL star Kata a release from his contract so he could stay in New Zealand for personal reasons.
And Clark – an Olympic sevens player from Rio 2016 – is an experienced and versatile replacement who is likely to see plenty of game-time next season.

The 28-year-old played 35 games for the Waratahs and was on the books of the San Diego Legion in Major League Rugby this year.
“We’ve watched Cam closely for a while now and we’re happy he’ll be joining us for at least this season,” Brumbies coach Dan McKellar said.
“He’s a quality player, excellent physical attributes and he’s experienced which means he’ll come in knowing what’s expected at this level.

“One thing we all noticed from his time at the Waratahs was just how hard he plays the game, and after a really good season playing in the US, we think he’ll come into our program and push hard for a jersey.”
Kata, meanwhile, departs after scoring five tries in his 15 games for the Brumbies.
“I want to thank the Brumbies for granting me this early release,” Kata said.
“When I re-signed for next season, I was so excited to come back to Canberra and to continue developing at the Brumbies but being in Auckland with my family, and COVID travel restrictions, I’ve had to make some difficult choices to do the best thing for my young family.
“I’ve loved my time at the Brumbies and I wish my teammates and everyone at the club well for the future.”
