The South Australian Cricket Association has revealed it’s “investigating an allegation” surrounding several Redbacks players.
It stems from a night out following their Sheffield Shield game against Queensland. A number of players were allegedly asked to leave an Adelaide club.
South Australia Police has confirmed 10 men were ordered to leave a nightclub, although no arrests were made and no charges laid.
“The SACA is investigating an allegation that several Redbacks players were asked to leave a city venue following concerns about their behaviour and adherence to COVID-19 dancing regulations,” a SACA statement read.

“While the SACA has not received a formal complaint from any party, it has commenced its own internal investigation into the matter, including the details and circumstances surrounding the allegations.

“The SACA will not be providing further comment while the investigation is ongoing.”
The Redbacks are scheduled to play their next match next Monday, when they’ll meet Western Australia in Perth in a Marsh one-day cup fixture.
