The newly rebranded Australian Premier Leagues could be in hot water with an Adelaide construction company.
Upon the launch of the new ‘A-Leagues’ brand this week which brought the A-League, W-League and Y-League under one logo, a resemblance to Adelaide Building Consulting was quickly picked up and the similarities in the logos debated online.
Even the company itself joined in on the conversation, changing their logo on their social media to mimic the slightly different A-Leagues version, which though a different colour scheme, is very similar in its design.

But the construction company could have grounds to potentially take legal action over copyright and trademark breaches.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald the company’s managing director Timothy Rogers has been approached by numerous solicitors offering to take their case.
“It’s a bit funny, it’s an odd situation. As for our position, we aren’t sure what we are going to take,” Rogers told the Herald.
“I would assume we would have some dialogue with the A-League to see what their position is.
“We have to look at our position because we don’t want people to think we followed them. We don’t want that repercussion.”
Rogers did not rule out pursuing legal action, describing the designs as “essentially the same”.
