5 Reddit Penny Stocks to Watch This Week

I’ve cut through the noise and chatter on Reddit to come up with these top six Reddit penny stocks to watch now.

But remember, this watchlist isn’t a recommendation to buy or trade these stocks.

And if you’re hoping to get rich quick or wondering “can you get rich off penny stocks?” … you have the wrong mindset.

Don’t focus on the money.

That only creates bad trading habits like going all in, gunslinging, and overtrading…

Those are all the habits Reddit traders seem to promote and encourage.

Ignore that BS. Never blindly follow or listen to promoters or pumpers on social media and in chat rooms. They all claim these stocks are going to the moon. They’re not.

Most penny stocks fail.

Always expect the worst from every company so you won’t be disappointed. Be ready to take advantage of the hype and volatility, trade your patterns and trading plan, then move on.

Reddit Penny Stocks to Watch #1: Two Hands Corporation (OTCPK: TWOH)

TWOH is a tech company that develops apps, like its Gocart.city app and meal kit delivery service.

The stock returns to the watchlist from last week. Last week a user posted a due diligence thread on the company. This week another user posted a DD thread explaining why they don’t think the market is valuing the company or food tech market correctly…

That thread starts with, “I wanted to share my own rationale for taking a large position this week, which centers on valuation in the burgeoning foodtech market.”

Why would you listen to anyone pumping a stock who admits to holding a large position? That’s the same as buying and believing in penny stock promotions.

NEVER follow anyone’s picks or believe the hype. Trade smarter.

TWOH is a sub-penny stock, so not my favorite to trade…

But it’s close to a multi-month breakout over $0.0059. And it’s a former runner that’s trading high volume. With the right catalyst, it could break out. If not, I’ll watch for a panic dip buy.

 

Reddit Penny Stocks to Watch #2: Health Revenue Assurance Holdings, Inc. (OTCPK: HRAA)

HRAA provides billing and contract coding services to medical providers to assist in collecting reimbursement from insurance companies.

The stock’s on a solid multi-day run. It even broke out to new 52-week highs on September 13 — it spiked over 200%! The run started when the company announced a change in control on September 10.

According to a Reddit trader’s DD thread, they think it will be up 10x in the coming weeks or months. And they claim the company has “estimated revenues of +$100 million.”

HRAA has a nice chart and a catalyst, but I won’t chase it up here. I’ll watch it for a morning panic dip buy.

 

Reddit Penny Stocks to Watch #3: Transportation and Logistics Systems, Inc. (OTCQB: TLSS)

TLSS is a trucking company that offers logistics and delivery services.

A Reddit trader recently posted a thread about the company and why they think the SalSon Logistics acquisition will send this stock to the moon…

This trader claims “SalSon is estimated to make over $100M in revenue this year with an approximate $12M EBITDA.” They also wrote that “SalSon will make TLSS instantly profitable.”

TLSS recently uplisted from the Pink Sheets to the OTCQB on September 1. And it’s trading higher than average volume.

I’ll watch it for a potential multi-day breakout over $0.024, ideally with a catalyst.

 

Reddit Penny Stocks to Watch #4: SmileDirectClub, Inc. (NASDAQ: SDC)

SDC offers oral care products and a clear aligner.

It’s not technically a penny stock as it trades around $5.75 as of this writing. The stock also has an ugly long-term chart. I call it a bad sushi chart when a stock has multiple gap downs on the daily chart.

But a Reddit trader thinks it has the potential to squeeze shorts … They posted a due diligence thread saying they think “shorts are really in a bad spot here” due to the high short interest, and the stock has “very high institutional ownership.”

SDC spiked 15% on September 13 but the company also announced news of a year-long partnership to help Afghan refugees in the U.S.

If the stock can get over $6.25 it might be interesting. But I’ll wait for a catalyst and high volume before planning a trade in this one.

 

Reddit Penny Stocks to Watch #5: All American Pet Company, Inc. (OTCPK: AAPT)

AAPT’s a shell company looking for potential acquisitions. It’s listed as dark or defunct on the OTC markets website.

One Reddit trader thinks that merger news with a private fintech company is “very very close.” In the comments, many traders who want to buy in say they can’t due to their broker’s restrictions. (Click here to find out which brokers I think are best for day traders.)

The company’s attempting to get Pink Current. On September 7, it said via a tweet that there “will be an official press release in the next few days” to provide an update on its company direction and upcoming merger valuation.

The stock’s a multi-day runner that recently broke out to new 52-week highs. Now it’s consolidating and volume’s fading. I’ll watch for a dip buy into any big panic. But if the company announces news, it could break out over $0.017 with high volume.

 

More Reddit Stocks to Watch

What else is trending on Reddit? Here are some stocks seeing increased chatter in the chat rooms. But remember, a lot of the traders in these chat rooms are HODLing.

They’re more like investors or swing traders than day traders. It seems many believe in these companies. I think that’s a huge mistake…

Prepared traders don’t get sucked into the chatter. Use the volume and hype to trade repeating patterns then move on to the next.

Over on WallStreetBets, Cameco Corporation (NYSE: CCJ) was the top-mentioned ticker with bullish sentiment on September 13.

WSB traders were also bullish on Ocugen, Inc. (NASDAQ: OCGN) to start the week. That was following a report saying the “World Health Organisation’s (WHO) approval for Bharat Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine, Covaxin, is expected this week.” (OCGN’s partnered with Bharat for the vaccine development.)

Here’s what else is trending with Reddit penny stock traders:

  • Aterian, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATER): ATER was on last week’s watchlist as Reddit traders had targeted it as the next SPRT-type short squeeze. It was on watch for a break out of the pennant flag on the daily chart. It broke out on September 8 and has continued to run. Now I think it’s getting overextended. I’ll watch it for a potential dip buy into a big panic. (Past performance is not indicative of future returns.)  
  • Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: AGTC): AGTC was mentioned in a thread recently and it was given a $35–$36 price target. In the comments, many traders share that they’re bag-holding this biotech from the $4s. Company directors will present at the Clinical Trials in Rare Diseases Conference on September 14. We’ll see how the stock reacts after the presentation.

The Final Word on Reddit Penny Stocks

Reddit chat rooms have the potential to push stocks higher. They can create giant short squeezes and supernovas. We’ve seen it happen in the past.

And although the past doesn’t repeat itself exactly, it often rhymes.

I’m in no way saying run out and buy these Reddit penny stocks. The chat rooms can be full of promoters and bots just as much as Twitter. But stocks with high volume and hype could present opportunities. So watch them for potential plays.

But always have a trading plan and stay disciplined. And never believe the hype.
