Roosters enforcer Victor Radley will be issued a “please explain” by the NRL after footage showed him performing a crude gesture after Sunday’s State of Origin game.
Observers noticed the incident in the wash-up of New South Wales’ 44-12 victory over Queensland in Perth.
The broadcast briefly captured Radley using his right hand to simulate an act on Joseph Suaalii, while the pair sat together in the Blues sheds.

The Sydney Morning Herald now reports NRL chief Andrew Abdo plans to meet with Radley to speak about the matter.
“It’s certainly far from ideal when something like that happens,” Abdo said.
“It happened in the sheds, but unfortunately was captured and broadcast broadly. We are looking at it and we’ll be having a conversation with Victor and the NSWRL.”
Radley was not available to play in the Origin game due to injury, but he was picked by Blues coach Brad Fittler anyway to fly with the squad to Perth.
Suaalii also took no part in the game, but has been in camp with NSW for both games so far this series.
