Payne Haas insists his eyes are locked on State of Origin and nothing else as his contract stand-off with the Broncos rumbles in the background.
Haas on Sunday joined his New South Wales teammates in camp for the June 8 opener and batted away talk of his $1 million quarrel when pressed on 2GB’s Wide World of Sports radio.
“I’m going to let my management do all the talking,” Haas said.

“I’m here in camp trying to focus on that (Origin).That’s all that matters at the moment, playing well for NSW next Wednesday, and my full focus is on that.”
Haas is contracted to Brisbane until the end of 2024 but the front-rower is hell-bent on earning $1 million a year.
As per Haas’ current deal, the 22-year-old is guaranteed $750,000 for 2022, $800,000 in 2023 and $850,000 in 2024.

Last Friday night he played his first game since his management asked for an immediate release.
He was hit with a chorus of boos every time he touched the ball, as well as when he returned from the bench in the 51st minute.
Haas admitted on Nine’s post-match coverage that he was “rattled” by the frosty reception.
