Queensland’s Super Rugby title hopes have suffered a crushing blow with the news star prop Taniela Tupou is expected to miss the rest of the season with a calf strain.
Tupou limped off late in the first half of Friday’s loss to the Chiefs in Brisbane and the Reds confirmed the bad news on Monday.
A Queensland statement said the Reds “are seeking further medical opinion” but the injury is expected to be season-ending.
