Scott Robertson provided a typically entertaining conclusion to an entertaining maiden Super Round while shedding light on the close links between his Crusaders and the Melbourne Storm.
The breakdancing Crusaders chatted with Stan Sport after blowing the Melbourne Rebels away in the second half for a 42-17 win at AAMI Park.
Robertson was asked a question about his gifted five-eighth Richie Mo’unga and served up an unexpected scoop in his reply.

“Craig Bellamy was just trying to sign him actually, when we came off,” Robertson said.
“He was trying to swap him for Munster! We wouldn’t take Munster.”
Storm supremo Bellamy sat in the Crusaders coaches box for the Super Rugby Pacific match and his star playmaker Munster is being eyed up by rival NRL clubs.

“We want Craig Bellamy to take your players, give us a chance!” Morgan Turinui quipped.
Robertson then gave a more serious insight into the relationship between two of Australasia’s most successful sporting teams.
“He came up (to the box), we did a couple of things with him in the last couple of days,” Robertson said.
“We’ve got a great relationship, the Crusaders and the Storm, a lot of values and trademarks that we hold dear to our heart. One year we actually used them as a theme and it was awesome.
“So a deep relationship with them and (Storm general manager of football) Frank Ponissi also. There’s no swearing in the box either!”
The Crusaders led 7-3 at halftime as the Rebels defended their home turf manfully.
But the floodgates opened in the second half as the red and black machine started hissing through improved patience and simplicity.
There was also concern over Rebels five-eighth Matt To’omua, who left the contest early after copping a painful knock to his head/neck area.
To’omua has a history of concussion problems.
