Jessica Sergis broke down in tears as she helped the Roosters to a historic NRLW premiership victory.
The Chooks ran over the top of St George Illawarra in the second half to win 16-4 at Moreton Daily Stadium.
It was the first grand final to not feature the Broncos in NRLW history. Brisbane had won all three titles contested prior to Sunday.

For Sergis, the victory was extra sweet.
She left the Dragons to join the Roosters this season, and beat her former teammates on the biggest stage.
“I’m feeling so good. I’ve never wanted that 10 minutes to go any faster in my life,” Sergis told Nine.

“Holy hell, what a game. The girls played so well.
“I got one! I got one… I’m so pumped.”
It was the perfect possible start for St George Illawarra, thanks to a Roosters error in the opening set of the game.
From the scrum the Dragons spread it to left winger Madison Bartlett who scooted over to open the scoring.
The first half was later marred by an ugly series of events in one tackle.
Dragons player Brydie Parker suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury.
As her knee buckled, Parker fell into a tackle and was collected in the head by the shoulder of Taliah Fuimaono.
Fuimaono was sin binned and the Red V were down to 12 players for 10 minutes.
The rest of the first half went scoreless as both Roosters’ Jess Sergis and Dragons’ Keely Davis found their way over the line, but were not awarded the tries.
Sergis was held up, while the Bunker found Davis knocked on before scoring.
The Roosters failed to score in the first half but they had no such issues in the second.
Yasmin Meakes levelled it up at 4-4 with a try in the 46th minute, and then Isabelle Kelly put them in front in the 56th with a powerful try.
Kelly’s try followed a nasty elbow injury to Dragons player Page McGregor.
A four-pointer to Olivia Higgins with three minutes remaining iced the victory.
