The Melbourne Storm have confirmed trio Harry Grant, Jahrome Hughes and Xavier Coates have all put pen to paper on new contracts.
Hughes and Coates will remain in Melbourne until the end of 2026, while Grant has committed to a new deal until 2025.
Hughes, who won a premiership with the Storm at halfback in 2020, has played 85 games for the club since reviving his career in 2017. He previously played just two games for the Titans and Cowboys from 2013 to 2016.

Coates, who has played 34 NRL games since debuting in 2019 for the Broncos, and Grant, with only 33 games under his belt, are two of the NRL’s emerging stars having already become State of Origin players for Queensland.
“To have players the calibre of Harry, Jahrome and Xavier all committed to our club for a long period gives us great confidence heading into the future,” said Melbourne Storm chairman Matt Tripp.
“We now have a quality spine, our skipper, an exciting winger and some great young talent all locked away for a few years.
“We know the three are quality players and, more importantly, quality people. We are proud of the strong culture we have built across the entire club and will always work hard to keep good people.”
The re-signings of Hughes and Grant in particular are a major boost for the Storm.
The future of the pair in recent months had been the centre of speculation, with the NRL’s incoming team the Dolphins busy recruiting for their inaugural season in 2023.
While the Dolphins have signed the likes of Parramatta’s Ray Stone and Brisbane’s Jamayne Isaako, they’ve already signed a number of players from the Storm.
Maroons star Felise Kaufusi, as well as brothers Jesse and Kenny Bromwich, have all inked muli-year deals with the club from 2023. Those three players combined have won seven premierships at the Storm.
