The tennis world has erupted over yet another dangerous incident involving a ball boy being hit by an errant racquet thrown by an angry player.
A week after Nick Kyrgios copped it for throwing his racquet in a rage and narrowly missing a ball boy in his loss to Rafael Nadal at Indian Wells, a similar incident has occurred involving American Jenson Brooksby.

The world No.39 came under fire when he accidentally hit a ball boy with his racquet during his Miami Open first-round victory over Federico Coria.
Up a double break in the decisive third set, the 21-year-old lost his temper when he gave up a break point to the Argentine, throwing his racket down in frustration, but it bounced up and hit a ball boy on the foot.
He was handed a point penalty, gifting Coria the game, but the South American called for more severe punishment, suggesting his opponent should be defaulted after recent similar incidents involving Kyrgios and Alexander Zverev.
He continued to push chair umpire Carlos Bernardes to explain why Brooksby hadn’t been defaulted, pointing out the American had already thrown his racquet earlier in the match, which landed on the other side of the court.

Brooksby received a point penalty and went on to win the match and continue his strong form over the last few months which has seen him skyrocket from world No 231 to No 39 in the space of the year.
He came from a set down to win 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 to seal his debut victory at the tournament.
