Former Roosters NRL player Willis Meehan left the Aware Super Theatre “furious” this evening after his Turf War boxing opponent was a late withdrawal on the Sonny Bill Williams vs Barry Hall undercard.
Heavyweight Meehan was supposed to be fighting Hunter Sam but in some late drama he “failed a medical” this morning.
Meehan is the son of former boxing star Kali and had showcased his frightening power in public sparring sessions in the leadup to the fight.
