Melbourne supercoach Craig Bellamy doesn’t know what the future holds, but does not expect to still be doing the job in a decade’s time.
The 62-year-old will coach his 500th NRL game on Thursday when the Storm host the Panthers.
On Saturday, Bellamy incredibly scored his 20th consecutive Round 1 victory.

Since taking over the Storm in 2003, Bellamy has led the team to seven grand finals and three premierships.

Last year he was the focus of intense speculation regarding his future in the game. He had offers on the table from Cronulla and Brisbane, and was weighing up retiring altogether.
He eventually signed a long-term deal to stay at Melbourne, although didn’t specify how long he would be the head coach for.
His main rival for the crown of rugby league’s greatest modern coach – Wayne Bennett – will be 73 years old when he kicks off next season with the Dolphins.
Speaking to Wide World of Sports’ 2GB radio tonight, Bellamy was asked whether he saw himself still coaching at that age.
“Not a hope in hell,” he laughed.
“I don’t know how Wayne does it. He has obviously been doing it really well for a long time.
“I can’t see myself doing that. He is a marvel, Wayne, for how long he’s lasted.
“I’m still enjoying what I do, but there’s some other things in your life that you’ve got to look at… I’ve got to weigh a few things up and see what happens.”
Bellamy’s coaching record is argaubly the best in modern rugby league.
Bennett and Trent Robinson are gunning for the crown, but Bellamy’s ability to keep the Storm at the top of tree for so long is simply remarkable.
“What has helped my longevity is that we’ve had a whole heap of wonderful great players,” he said.
“I always take it that I owe them something.
“The club has looked after me really well.”
