Gold Coast forward Tazmin Gray has been referred straight to the judiciary over a nasty incident during her side’s loss to Parramatta yesterday.
Gray was sin-binned and put on report during the first half for a crusher tackle on superstar Eels fullback Bo Vette-Welsh, where she also left the ground in a knee/hip drop action.
Vette-Welsh lay on the ground for more than a minute clutching at her neck, as referee Kasey Badger put Gray on report and sent her to the bin.

She now faces a lengthy stint on the sideline if the panel takes a heavy-handed approach.
NSW coach Brad Fittler noted that such a bad tackle was a rarity in the women’s game.

“You don’t see many of those in the women’s game,” he said.
“The less we see of them, the better.”
The Titans went down 24-14 as Vette-Welsh recovered to play a starring role for her side once again.
Should Gray cop a suspension it would be awful timing for the Gold Coast as they play the competition-leading Broncos next weekend.
