Former Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin believes “the best thing” about leg-spinner Mitchell Swepson is he’s toured with the squad on plenty of occasions.
Haddin pointed to Swepson’s considerable overseas experience with the Australian squad as the 28-year-old received his baggy green from state captain Usman Khawaja, ahead of the second Test against Pakistan in Karachi.

“That’s a special moment and made even more special there by receiving it from Usman Khawaja,” Haddin said on Fox Cricket.
“It’s a great opportunity, he’s going to get great conditions.
“The best thing about Mitch Swepson (is) he’s been on lots of tours, he feels comfortable in this environment and now he’s just got to go out there and do the job he’s been doing for Queensland for quite some time.”
Swepson has taken the place of fast bowler Josh Hazlewood in the Australian XI.
He’s set to become the first genuine Australian leg-spinner to feature in a Test since Bryce McGain played one match against South Africa in Cape Town in 2009.
Australian captain Pat Cummins won the toss ahead of the second Test against Pakistan and elected to bat.
Australia then reached lunch at 2-100, after the departures of David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne.
