Ange Postecoglou‘s Celtic will make the journey down to Australia as part of the newly announced ‘Sydney Super Cup’ scheduled for later this year.
Celtic, along with its Scottish Premiership rival, Rangers, will both compete in a friendly series kicking off on November 16 during the domestic football break, with the mini-tournament to include A-League clubs Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers.
Part of the series will see the two Scottish rivals face-off at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.

It will be the first time in the 134-year history of the Glasgow derby where the match is played outside of Scotland.
The finer details of the tournament are yet to be confirmed, but three matches will be played over five nights.
Postecoglou, the former Socceroos coach who led Australia to qualification for back-to-back World Cups, said he’s excited to finally return home.
Celtic are currently three points clear atop the table of the Scottish Premiership table.
“I haven’t been home for almost three years by the time this comes around so I’m super-excited,” Postecoglou said.
“The club’s obviously been down there a couple of times before and I know just how passionate the Celtic fans are about the football club, so we’re looking forward to it.

“There’s no doubt it will be special. I know how big this football club is back home and for me to go back as the manager of it, it will be emotional.
“There’s a lot of guys who I grew up with or shared a dressing room with who are die-hard Celtic supporters and they are going to see their mate bringing their team Down Under.
“For the whole football community that I grew up in, they will all take great pride out of somebody who came through their ranks bringing home such a massive football club.”
