Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf appeared to slap his Lahore Qalandars teammate in the face following a dropped catch during Tuesday’s Pakistan Super League match against the Peshawar Zalmi.
In the second over of Zalmi’s innings at Gaddafi Stadium, Qalandars all-rounder Kamran Ghulam grassed a regulation catch to gift opener Hazratullah Zazai an extra life on six runs.
When the catch was put down, Rauf threw his arms up in frustration.

Rauf – who is also contracted to the Melbourne Stars – dismissed Mohammad Haris later in the over with a bouncer before celebrating with his teammates.
But when Ghulam joined the team, Rauf appeared to strike him across the face with his hand.
Ghulam seemed untroubled by the explosive incident, continuing to congratulate the paceman on his breakthrough.

Later in the match, footage showed Rauf and Ghulam embracing in the outfield, suggesting there were no ill feelings between them.
According to local reports Rauf received a warning from match referee Ali Naqvi, but was not reprimanded further. However, members of the cricket community have since called for Rauf to be punished following the violent act.
The match was later forced to a super over, with Zalmi snatching victory in the one-over decider with four balls remaining.
