Australian Ash Barty is through to the semi-finals of the Adelaide International after taking down American Sofia Kenin in straight sets, 6-3 6-4.
Barty needed just 67 minutes to secure the match, dominating on serve with Kenin struggling to match it with the world number one.
The Australian notched 17 aces to go along with a 94 per cent win percentage on first serve.

“What a performance… that was a pretty extraordinary performance,” said former Australian tennis star Jelena Dokic in commentary for Nine.
Kenin, the 2020 Australian Open champion, struggled on serve for much of the match with just a 63 per cent win percentage on first serve, and 44 per cent on second serve.
Barty today made it two from two to kick start her Adelaide International campaign after taking down teen star Coco Gauff earlier in the week.

“I felt pretty good today. I was able to look after my service games pretty well and it was a lot of fun playing out here and getting more court time,” Barty said after the match.
“It’s nice to come out here and be tested from the start and know that you need to bring your very best level.
“Looking at these last two matches, there’s still work to do… it’s been a really solid start and we’re happy with the foundation we’ve set to start the year.”

Barty will meet defending tournament champion and 2020 French Open winner Iga Swiatek in the semifinals.
Swiatek beat two-time Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka 6-3, 2-6, 6-1 tonight.
