Jarryd Hayne‘s rugby league comeback has been confirmed after last playing for the Eels in 2018.
Hayne has signed with the Wentworthville Magpies in the Ron Massey Cup, with the club posting on Facebook to share the news.
“The Hayne plane touches down at Wenty,” the post read.

“We are thrilled to announce the signing of two-time Dally M winner, Jarryd Hayne, who will join the Wenty Magpies Ron Massey Cup side in 2025.
“We extend a warm welcome to Jarryd and his family – and can’t wait to see him return to footy at Ringrose Park in the weeks ahead.
“Bring it on!”
Hayne spent more than a year behind bars after being found guilty of rape, before the convictions were quashed by the NSW Court of Criminal Appeal in June.
The former Eels fullback recently made his long-awaited return to a rugby league field at the Nines Premier League on the Gold Coast in late January.
Hayne spent most of his time on the sideline though with a heavily strapped leg due to a hamstring injury.
