One of the country’s most well-known women in motorsport has sold her stake in the all-conquering Supercars team Triple Eight Race Engineering, Wide World of Sports can reveal.
Jessica Dane, who is the daughter of the team’s founder Roland Dane, has sold her shares in the business to Earl Evans and Steve Blackmore, who now own 30 per cent of the racing and engineering business between them.
Evans is the CEO of wealth management business Shaw and Partners while Blackmore is the CEO of Southern Cross Truck Rentals (SCTR).

The two businessmen were sponsors of Erebus Motorsport up until this year.
They have been long-term personal sponsors of Will Brown, who shifted stables from Erebus to Triple Eight this year where he joined Broc Feeney.
Brown recently made his NASCAR Cup Series debut with Richard Childress Racing at Sonoma Raceway with support from Shaw and Partners on the bonnet and SCTR on the side skirt.
WWOS understands a meeting took place at that NASCAR race that included Dane, Evans, and Blackmore where a deal was struck.
Earlier this year, Dane moved to the United States to join her partner Shane van Gisbergen, who is competing in NASCAR races.
Dane recently joined General Motors as its motorsports integration manager in North Carolina following her move Stateside.
Evans and Blackmore could not be reached for comment when contacted by WWOS.
It’s the first significant ownership change at Triple Eight Race Engineering in three years.
Tony Quinn of VIP Pet Foods and Darrel Lea fame bought 40 per cent of the Brisbane-based outfit early in 2021.
Later that year, Roland Dane sold his 11 per cent stake in the team to the squad’s team principal and seven-time Supercars champion Jamie Whincup.
Whincup currently owns 30 per cent while the remaining 30 per cent is split between Evans and Blackmore.
Triple Eight Race Engineering declined to comment when approached by WWOS.
The ownership change means the founding Dane family no longer has any financial investment in the team.
Triple Eight has won 10 drivers’ championships and 11 teams’ championships since the organisation began racing in Supercars in 2003.
The team has also won the Bathurst 1000 on 10 occasions with Whincup, van Gisbergen, Craig Lowndes, Steven Richards, Paul Dumbrell, Richie Stanaway, Mark Skaife, and Garth Tander. Its first came in 2006 and its most recent was only last year.
Supercars continues its season on the streets of Townsville across July 5-7.
