Former Titans captain Kevin Proctor is being investigated by the club over an Instagram video that appears to show the star forward vaping midway through the club’s loss to the Bulldogs on Sunday.
Proctor used his own social media account to post a video of himself vaping in what appears to be a toilet cubicle.
The video was posted at 3.17pm, while the Titans-Bulldogs clash was still taking place. It includes a caption that says: “Not the half-time vape.”

Proctor is wearing a Titans polo top during the seven second video.
The 33-year-old, who was not involved in the game after being overlooked for the club’s top 17 squad, was sitting near the Titans’ interchange bench as a spectator during the game.
The embarrassing incident comes at a horrible time for the club, which has sunk to 15th on the ladder and would be sitting on its own at the bottom if not for the controversial call that sunk the Tigers after full-time against the Cowboys on Sunday.
Having finished eighth in 2021, the Titans were widely tipped to be a finals contender this season but over the last two months they have collapsed in a heap, with their loss to the Bulldogs their eighth in a row.
Proctor was one of the first in a crop of big name signings to move to the Gold Coast over the past five years, with the former Storm premiership winner and New Zealand Test star joining the Titans on a big money deal in 2017.
He went on to captain the club but has been involved in several controversies, on and off the field, since making the move to the glitter strip.
Two years ago he was sent off for biting his Kiwis Test teammate Shaun Johnson, and was banned for four matches by the judiciary despite pleading not guilty. That incident put a strain on his friendship with Johnson.
He was also stripped of the Titans captaincy in 2017 when he was caught with cocaine outside a Canberra nightclub following a Test match between New Zealand and Australia.
Proctor is off contract at the end of this season and is understood to be in negotiations with several UK Super League clubs.
