St George Illawarra coach Anthony Griffin could be in the gun as the club’s board meets to discuss the team’s performances.
The Dragons lost 54-26 to the Roosters on Saturday night to fall away from the NRL’s top eight. If they lose to Manly in round 19 their finals dream fades further.
Since taking over as coach, Griffin has won only 16 of 41 games with the Red V.

Bizarrely, the club extended Griffin’s contracted before a ball had been kicked this season.
Sydney Morning Herald journalist Michael Chammas reports Griffin has got some of his players off-side.
“Pressure is mounting on the Dragons,” Chammas told Nine’s NRL coverage.
“The performance of the team will come under the microscope. In particular there will be questions about Anthony Griffin.

“There’s also a suggestion some players aren’t seeing eye to eye with the coach over his methodology.”
The board will meet on Tuesday to dissect the situation.
