Parramatta has told firebrand forward Nathan Brown he is free to leave the club, according to a report.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports the Eels have dropped Brown for their round 15 clash with the Roosters.
The club has also told Brown he can leave, despite having 18 months still to run on his contract.

It comes after his management reportedly approached the Eels to discuss extending his contract beyond 2023.
The Tigers have reportedly been approached to gauge their interest in Brown’s services.
“It’s a simple one; Nathan’s management has asked,” Eels coach Brad Arthur told the Herald.
“He’s on contract until the end of 2023, and we have quite a few players in that situation where they’re all looking out for what comes after. We have to remember it is a sport, but it is a business. Everyone has their own priorities they need to look after.
“He’s just reached out to find out if there’s anything moving forward. With our cap situation and the players we’ve got and the spend, there’s nothing past 2023 in our plans. It’s his right to ask to look around.
“There’s no ‘he wants to go’ or ‘we’re pushing him out’. He’s just trying to secure his future past 2023. It is what it is.”
Brown, 29, has played 136 NRL games with the Tigers, Rabbitohs, and Eels. He joined Parramatta in 2017, and played two Origin games for New Souths Wales in 2020.
