Warriors young gun Reece Walsh has drawn a parallel with NRL legend Cameron Smith – but not for the way he would have wanted.
With a chance to extend his side’s lead to 12 against Newcastle, the fullback lost his footing at the worst moment possible.
The rising fullback slipped, with his kick attempt barely making it more than 10 metres.

“That’s a horrific moment for Reece Walsh!” said Andrew Voss in commentary for Fox League.
“If there’s a worse kick than that this year, I will be very surprised.”
NRL fans will remember Smith slipping in similar fashion from the same sideline – but with a different outcome.
Smith was moving in to strike the ball from the sideline in the first half when his feet betrayed him at the moment of impact.
Despite landing flat on his back, Smith showed just how deadly his laser-like boot could be by drilling the ball over the black dot to add another two points to the scoreline.
“What a moment that is!” Voss said at the time.

The amazing conversion even surprised Smith with the stunned Kangaroos skipper raising his arms to the crowd in celebration.
