His form in the early rounds of this season for Broncos’ feeder club Norths Devils has been outstanding, prompting the Cowboys to make him an offer.
The rangy forward will fly to Townsville this weekend and is expected to make his debut for the club in coming weeks.
Frei’s statistics for Norths this season have been eye-catching — he scored five tries in eight games, averaged 116 running metres per game and had a 97.7 per cent tackle efficiency rate.
