The woman who ran onto the field at CBUS Super Stadium on Saturday night has said she had no issues with the textbook tackle she was on the receiving end of.
Late in Parramatta‘s win over the Gold Coast, she ran onto the field and evaded one security guard before promptly being tackled by another – as both Eels halfback Mitch Moses and referee Peter Gough watched on in amusement.
While most took the incident in good humour, a small section of viewers were left uncomfortable with the tackle, with some even suggesting the security guard should be disciplined for being too aggressive.

But Javon, who declined to give her surname, said she was fine with being dealt with in that manner after running onto the field.
“The tackle was honestly fine,” she said on Triple M on Monday morning.
“It was more so just how much air I got. That made it look so much worse. But he could have grabbed me and I would have fallen over,” she said, after claiming to the radio station she was the woman involved in the incident.
While this incident was on the funny side as far as pitch invasions go, the point was made by defenders of the security guard that in that situation, you have to protect the players on the field at all costs.
That was evident the next day, when a man with a lit flare ran onto the field at Shark Park.
“I think it’s fair play. I got what I deserved. He should keep his job,” the pitch invader added.

She said that her only reason for running onto the field was because she’d always wanted to.
“I know exactly what I did. It’s been a bucket-list kind of thing,” she said.
“When your friends tell you to do it, you don’t think you’re going to do it. It was such a surreal and out-of-body experience.”
