Canadian pair Nicholas Latifi and Lance Stroll were both left fuming after they collided in the final minutes of the first qualifying session at the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
With just over two minutes left in the session, Latifi lost control and went spinning into the barrier when he made contact with Stroll towards Turn 5.
Latifi had just allowed Stroll to overtake him, believing that he was on a cool lap before then trying to repass him following the corner.

Latifi’s Williams was left with a ripped left-rear wheel.
“Latifi man, what the f–k was he doing, he’s just f—-ing hit me man!” Stroll was heard saying over team radio.
Latifi on team radio explained: “I’m just backing off. I was going to kill the tyres, I wasn’t going to improve.”
“I don’t understand what he was doing, he wasn’t looking in his mirrors. “I’m fine, the f—-ing car’s destroyed.”
Speaking in the paddock after the crash, Latifi took no blame.
“For me, it’s quite clear. I’ve just seen the video, I just tried to hold that line to prepare my out lap and he just turned into me once I was alongside him,” he said.
“There’s not much more to say besides that.”
Earlier, McLaren driver Lando Norris posted the fastest time in the final practice session.
The 22-year-old Norris completed a lap of the Albert Park circuit in 1 minute, 19.117, with Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc .132 seconds behind in second position in a session interrupted by two red flags.
Red Bull’s Sergio Perez posted the third-fastest time, while Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton finished .779 seconds behind Norris with the eighth-quickest time for the session.
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz, who posted the fastest time in P1 on Friday, was fifth in Saturday’s practice session, while Australian Daniel Ricciardo made it two McLarens in the first six when finishing .576 seconds behind his teammate Norris.
