Young Gold Coast NRL player Treymain Spry is recovering after being hospitalised by an alleged assault.
The Titans confirmed Spry was involved in “an off-field incident”, but he has been cleared by police of any wrongdoing.
News Corp reports Spry, 22, suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain after he was assaulted in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

The report says a person has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
“As per media reports, the Gold Coast Titans can confirm Treymain Spry is recovering from an off-field incident,” a club statement read.
“Treymain has been cleared of any wrongdoing by Queensland Police and the NRL integrity unit.
“As the matter is now before the courts, the club will make no further comment at this stage.”
