Sonny Bill Williams and Barry Hall are set to trade blows in a salivating heavyweight showdown, but not before an undercard fight delivered its own tsunami of drama – including a disgusting accusation.
The super-welterweight bout between Terry Nickolas and Jason Medawar, won by the former via a fourth-round TKO, was packed with fireworks.
The theatrics began when the referee unloaded on the boxers during the first round, accusing Medawar of holding and telling his opponent to “behave”.
“Let’s box,” the referee said to both.
“How about we box, eh?”

The clash ended when Medawar’s knee buckled during the fourth round, causing him to hit the floor as the referee called the TKO result.
But a slanging match on the mic after the bout saw the show keep rolling.
“I’ve got no respect for him. No respect,” Nickolas said of Medawar.
“I’m here to box. I train hard and I want to box. I don’t want to fight guys like this.
“He was fighting on the floor and grabbing my balls.”

Medawar pushed his way into the interview and said he wanted to meet Nickolas in an eight-round clash.
Then Nickolas called out Nikita Tszyu, the younger brother of Australian boxing megastar Tim Tszyu.
“There’s a new guy in my division: Nikita Tszyu. I want him in the ring,” Nickolas said.
“I want to fight the best on the George Kambosos undercard. The world-title defence.”
Kambosos, who was in Nickolas’ corner, is soon expected to confirm a June world-title defence against American Devin Haney in Melbourne.
