Wests Tigers recruit Jackson Hastings is facing a three-week ban for a lifting tackle in his side’s clash loss to the Knights.
The NRL this morning confirmed Hastings had been charged with a grade two offence for a “dangerous throw.”
The playmaker can accept a two-week ban with an early guilty plea.

But should Hastings take his case to the judiciary and fail, that ban will increase to three weeks.
The five-eighth picked up Newcastle‘s Tex Hoy by the legs and tilted him into a near-vertical position in the 13th minute.
The Knights utility didn’t land on his head but referee Ben Cummins nonetheless placed Hastings on report and awarded Newcastle a penalty.
“That’s a dangerous one, that’s not a good one,” said Nine commentator Mat Thompson.
The tackle sparked an all-in scuffle described by Roosters and Panthers legend Brad Fittler as “a restless couple of seconds”.
Hastings is back in the NRL this year after spending four seasons in the Super League, where he played with Salford and Wigan.
Hastings had played in the NRL with the Roosters and Manly before departing for England.
