Geelong star Jeremy Cameron has been cleared of any serious internal injuries after being hospitalised following a brutal collision with an opponent.
Cameron was forced off the ground in the first half of Geelong’s 66-point demolition job against Essendon on Saturday, after being floored by Bombers defender Jayden Laverde in a marking contest.
After being substituted out of the game, vision from inside the MCG showed Cameron being stretchered off to hospital during the second half after he struggled to breathe.

Cameron has been diagnosed with a hip pointer injury from the brutal clash, but was cleared of any serious rib or lung damage.
“Just wanted to give you a quick update, I’m doing well,” Cameron said in an Instagram video.
“I just had to go through the necessary things to tick off, make sure there was no internal bleeding.
“Overall, feeling great and I’ll be here (at home) all day.”
Despite being cleared of any serious injuries, Cameron is highly likely to miss Geelong’s Round 2 clash against the Sydney Swans.
