Collingwood recruit Nathan Kreuger was unable to finish his side’s AAMI Community Series match against the Giants after suffering a nasty head knock.
The Giants were too good for the Magpies today, triumphing 100-59 in their final pre-season game ahead of the 2022 home and away season.

During the second quarter, Kreuger, who departed Geelong during the off-season, was involved in a nasty collision with Giants midfielder Callan Ward.
In a one-on-one collision just outside of the goal square, the 22-year-old Kreuger attacked a loose ball before opting to go low with the shoulder at the last second as Ward rushed in.
The situation backfired for the Magpie, with Kreuger copping a nasty head knock and in need of assistance from trainers.
“Big hip and shoulder… it’s done some big damage to both players,” said Brenton Speed in commentary for Fox Footy.
“Ward, always courageous, and he was met solidly by Kreuger.”
Fortunately for the Giants, Ward was able to continue.
While Kreuger will be in a battle to be fit for Collingwood’s Round 1 clash against the Saints, he will also face a nervous wait from the Match Review Officer for opting to bump and landing a high shot on Ward.
