The Dragons have carved out a 16-10 trial victory over the Rabbitohs headlined by two exceptional tries, as they ended South Sydney‘s nine-year Charity Shield winning streak.
Winger Cody Ramsey launched himself high in the air and almost returned to ground vertically in scoring the first try of the night, when he crossed in the left corner five minutes into the contest.

“Acrobatic from Cody Ramsey,” said former Panthers captain Greg Alexander on Fox League.
“That is a beauty. That is a ripper there from Cody Ramsey.
“Got on the outside of Josh Mansour and just had too much speed.
“Look at that! He’s almost over the top of the corner post.”
Commentator Andrew Voss was stunned.
“His boot’s almost knocked a pie out of the bloke in the corner on the side of the fence,” Voss said.
“That’s how far out he was!”
Centre Zac Lomax then produced a moment of individual magic in the 27th minute, blitzing South Sydney’s left-edge defence with nimble footwork and a dummy, before popping a shining flick pass to winger Mikaele Ravalawa.
“We’ve spoken about this sort of pass from (Lomax) over the last couple of years,” Alexander said.
“The footwork … and then the dummy on the outside to keep his winger out just completely fooled Cody Walker – and that’s not easy to do.
“Look at all those South Sydney defenders (saying), ‘What has just gone on?'”
The Rabbitohs will begin their season in a match against the Broncos in Brisbane on March 11.
The Dragons will open their 2022 campaign in a clash with the Warriors at Sunshine Coast Stadium the following day.
