Finnish skier Remi Lindholm suffered the most unfortunate of injuries thanks to the below-freezing conditions in Beijing during the Winter Olympics.
The 24-year-old says his penis froze while competing in the men’s cross-country event, despite the race being delayed and shortened to help combat the weather.

Organisers decided to slash the distance from the standard 50km to 28km, and delayed the start time by an hour in the hope the temperature would rise.
But it seemingly did nothing for Lindholm or his private parts, which clearly didn’t enjoy the minus 17 degrees on the gauge.
He took an hour and 16 minutes to cross the finish line in 28th place.
“You can guess which body part was a little bit frozen when I finished,” Lindholm later revealed.
“It was one of the worst competitions I’ve been in. It was just about battling through.
“When the body parts started to warm up after the finish, the pain was unbearable.”
Remarkably, it’s not the first time Lindholm has suffered the injury.
He believes his penis froze while competing in Finland last year, too.
