Tim Tszyu‘s first big fight on US soil may be over before it even began.
Australia’s boxing golden boy holds a 20-0 (15 knockouts) professional record, but is yet to venture overseas to test himself on the world stage.
His maiden bout in America was supposedly going to be announced this week, against Terrell Gausha March 19.

Theirs would have been the co-main event on a Los Angeles card that featured a blockbuster second meeting between Brian Castano and Jermell Charlo.
Tszyu is the mandatory challenger to Castano’s WBO belt, and has his eyes on the Argentinian once the latter is done with Charlo.
But reports claim Castano injured a biceps muscle during a training session, and now it appears the March 19 event is off.
WBO president Paco Valcarcel tweeted today, “Castano vs Charlo… look like no unification will take place”.
Valcarcel bizarrely blamed Castano for ruining the event by getting injured.

Tszyu’s next fight will almost certainly be in America, but the Aussie star looks to be in limbo as he waist for a booking.
Fellow Aussie, George Kambosos, has already conquered America, sealed with a stunning underdog victory against Teofimo Lopez in November.
While Tszyu has finally ventured overseas, Kambosos has returned home and is trying to book a superfight in Melbourne in the coming months.
