Brisbane Broncos fullback Tesi Niu is now in danger of missing the start of the season, after injuring his hamstring at training this morning.

It gives them more question marks in the spine of their team, after coach Kevin Walters said earlier tonight that he wasn’t sure who would be playing five-eighth alongside new recruit Adam Reynolds.
Albert Kelly has been named as the halfback with Billy Walters at five-eighth for this weekend’s trial match against the Gold Coast Titans. Reynolds has been rested.

He named Ezra Mam and Tyson Gamble as the other possible candidates.
Niu, 20, played a few games at either wing or centre in 2021 before settling at his preferred position in the latter part of the season.
He scored eight tries in 16 games as Brisbane stuttered to 14th on the ladder.
