It wouldn’t be a major sporting event without some kind of TV hiccup.
It happened pre-game at Super Bowl LVI, when the broadcast seemed to accidentally mistake the two singers who were performing at the Los Angeles stadium.
Jhene Aiko was beginning to perform ‘American The Beautiful’ and her name popped up on screen, but the broadcast instead put the camera on Mickey Guyton, who was performing the national anthem afterwards.

When it was Guyton’s turn to sing, a box flashed up on the bottom of the screen displaying ‘Jhene Aiko’ instead of Guyton’s name.
The disappointing mix-up unfortunately took the focus away from the Grammy award-winning country singer’s rousing rendition of the American national anthem.
Social media immediately lit up with criticism of the errors.
