Australian captain Meg Lanning has taken one of the catches of the summer as Australia carried out an easy five-wicket victory in the second ODI of the women’s Ashes.
In the 24th over, Lanning showed her class, lunging at a nicked delivery from fast bowler Annabel Sutherland.
Throwing out her right hand, she was able to grasp the ball to dismiss England’s Dani Wyatt before she could make any impact with the bat.
Fox Cricket commentator Isa Guha could not contain her surprise as the ball looked to pass Lanning fielding at slip.

“Passed,” she said.
“No it’s not,” she corrected. “It’s not passed Meg Lanning, it’s gone into her hand.
“For the second time today the slips for Australia have stood up tall.
“Enjoy that one Meg Lanning.”
Guha was not the only one in disbelief, viewers taking to Twitter applaud the skipper.

The catch followed wicketkeeper Alyssa Healy’s amazing grab earlier in the session to dismiss Tammy Beaumont.
England were bowled out for a measly 129 runs, setting up an easy run chase for Australia.
While out in the field, English bowler Kate Cross had her right arm caught underneath her as she dove for a ball, injuring her wrist. She was able to play on before leaving the field to receive treatment.
Ellyse Perry was awarded player of the match after an excellent bowling performance which saw her take three wickets.
