Spanish tennis champion Rafael Nadal has dropped a surprise during his on-court interview after blitzing his second-round Australian Open clash.
The unexpected truth followed the 20-time singles major champion’s 6-2 6-3 6-4 victory over German Yannick Hanfmann at Rod Laver Arena.
American tennis great Jim Courier asked the former world No.1 what he worked on off the court, pointing out his impressively chiselled arms and assuming that he focused heavily on his arms in the gym.

“I play some golf,” Nadal said with a laugh in reply.
“That’s the truth. I’ve never been a gym guy.”
“You’re lying,” Courier quipped back.
Nadal then gave a more detailed insight into his off-the-court program.
“I’m not a big fan of the gym; I’m more a fan of playing sports,” Nadal said.
“Different sports. Unfortunately since a couple of years ago … with the (injured) knees and the foot I was not able to play different sports. I used to do it in the past and then of course today I need to be more focused on things that in the past I probably was not.
“I probably work around one hour, one hour and 30 (minutes) every day in the gym. But, honestly, I never did a lot of weights.
“But if you see my family, a lot of people is big.”
“It’s natural,” Courier replied with a smirk.
