Australian vice-captain Steve Smith had a night to forget on Thursday, as he was stuck in an elevator at the team hotel.
Smith chronicled his adventures on his Instagram story, before he was eventually rescued.
“Not quite the night that I had planned, I’m currently stuck in a lift – I’ve been in here for about 25 minutes,” he said.

“I’ve tried to get the door open – I’ve got this side open, Marnus [Labuschagne] is on the other side.
“I could be here for a while.”
Labuschagne was nice enough to squeeze a bag of M&Ms through the door to his vice-captain’s delight.
After an hour, he was finally rescued, to some applause from his teammates.
“Safely back in my room, finally out of the lift – that certainly was an experience. 55 minutes I’ll probably never get back.”
