The Dolphins have completed their first raid into their local rivals’ playing stocks, signing Brisbane‘s Jamayne Isaako for their inaugural season.
Isaako, who played most of his 76 first grade games on the wing with a few at fullback, becomes the first back signed by the expansion club, and their third established signing overall – after Felise Kaufusi and Ray Stone.
They have also locked in teenagers Harrison Graham, Valynce Te Whare, and Michael Roberts.
“Jamayne is fast, elusive and a point-scoring machine, so we welcome him into the first ever Dolphins squad,” club CEO Terry Reader said.

“We have signed a couple of quality forwards in Felise Kaufusi and Ray Stone so it is encouraging to get an international outside back onto our roster as well.
The 25-year-old made his debut in 2017, playing one game before becoming a fixture in Brisbane’s 2018 squad, earning rookie of the year honours by scoring 11 tries and kicking goals at a 82.91 per cent success rate.
He has represented both Samoa and New Zealand at international level.
“Jamayne is a great pick-up for the Dolphins for our first year – it means we are pretty sure we already know who will be kicking goals for us in 2023,” Reader said.
