The Parramatta Eels have received a major pre-season boost with Junior Paulo signing a four-year contract extension that will see him remain at the club through 2026.
Securing Paulo’s long-term commitment is a massive boon for the Eels, with the 28-year-old cementing his status as one of the game’s best front rowers in recent years.
“Junior is not just a skilful front rower, he is an asset to the club both on and off the field,” said Eels GM, Mark O’Neill, in a statement.

“His selection into the NSW Origin team is a testament to his ability and the hard work he puts into his game.”
After making his NRL debut in 2013, Paulo has played in 177 games across his career, with 122 of them coming in Eels colours. The other 55 came during a three-season stint with the Canberra Raiders.
Paulo has also achieved State of Origin honours over each of the last two seasons, having played in six Origin games for Brad Fittler’s NSW Blues side.

The extension handed to Paulo continues what has been a busy off-season for the Eels, with captain Clint Gutherson re-signing, and Raiders duo Josh Hodgson and Bailey Simonsson also committing to the club.
Simonsson will link up with Parramatta immediately, while Hodgson is set to arrive for the start of the 2023 season.
