Australian superstar Sam Kerr was punished by the referee but applauded across the football world after flattening a pitch invader while playing for Chelsea this morning.
The frustrated Matildas captain dropped the young man with her shoulder (watch the moment in the video above) in the second half as he appeared to be trying to get a selfie with Chelsea captain Magdalena Eriksson.
Kerr then remonstrated with referee Sara Persson, who issued her a yellow card for a hit that brought back memories of Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds levelling a streaker in 2008.

Chelsea were held to a 0-0 stalemate in their Champions League group match against Juventus at Kingsmeadow.
Kerr, who finished third in the Ballon d’Or voting this month, had a goal disallowed for offside before the pitch invader earned her wrath.
But the viewers watching on declared the popular striker the day’s clear winner anyway.
