The NRL’s newest team has secured its first marquee signing.
Melbourne Storm premiership winner Felise Kaufusi will join the Dolphins in 2023 on a three year deal.
The 29-year-old Queenslander has played 152 games for the Storm since making his debut in 2015, but will swap purple for red and white when his contract in Melbourne finishes up at the end of next year.

Kaufusi becomes the first major signing by the Dolphins, with the club still in the hunt to sign his Storm teammate Brandon Smith.
The recruitment news is a big boost to the fledgling new franchise after showing Bronco Patrick Carrigan around their facilities in Redcliffe and holding talks with Titans enforcer Tino Fa’asuamaleaui – both of whom have since re-signed with their respective clubs.
It may have been a slow start to the recruitment drive in Redcliffe, but the signing of Kaufusi could open the floodgates.
