The AFL has been hit with another positive COVID-19 case, with GWS confirming a member of its squad contracted the virus.
A member of the men’s team tested positive, only a day after it was revealed several AFLW Giants players were in isolation following a positive test in the women’s squad.
The Giants confirmed all players and staff at the club are fully vaccinated.

They say the positive AFL case is unrelated to the AFLW case.
The AFL was the first sporting organisation in Australia to mandate the COVID-19 vaccine, with all players and staff involved in the league required to get double jabbed.
Carlton player Liam Jones and Adelaide AFLW star Deni Varnhagen have since left the game because they refused to get vaccinated.
